Paper Marbling and Book Binding Workshop

Saturday Mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

December 1st and 8th (2-weeks)

In the Paper Marbling and Book Binding Workshop you will experience the magic of paper marbling, learn a few techniques in design, then make papers you can use in many creative ways. Two sheets you make will be used to bind a journal as you learn "perfect binding" method of book binding. So fun and great to give as a gift.

Paper Marbling Lab

Saturday Morning from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

February 9th (one day only)

The Art Center Ramona

In the Paper Marbling Lab, participants experience the freedom to create their own patterns and designs.  Lab is only open to participants who have previously attended Marsha's Paper Marbling Workshop at the Art Center Ramona.  Imagine walking in and starting to drop paint without the hassle of preparing all the paper and setup.  Papers will be prepped and sizing ready to go.  Just show up and start marbling.

Consider Creativity

Monday Mornings from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Dates: January 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th (4-weeks)

In the Consider Creativity Series, students will explore aspects of the creative process through exercises and situational learning to encourage an expansion of learning and self-expression to create sculptural artwork from simple objects, consider puzzles in art, creative problem soling and unexpected assignments for personal discovery and use of negative space in a 2-dimensional projects. Students will have freedom to express themselves within the contexts of each project. Playful and supportive setting, participants will explore a variety of materials, and techniques to pen new aspects of creativity.

Upcycle Your Art

In Upcycle Your Art, students will explore activities and learn techniques to use recycled materials in creative ways to create sculpture, collage, and a variety of projects to express themselves. Students have the freedom to express themselves using specific materials provided. Eight weeks of classes include 4-sessions with lecture and studio time and four studio sessions for studio time with techniques trouble shooting sessions.
